What It Means To Be A Deacon…
I know you have heard it before, but it’s still true. We deacons are your servants. We feel that God has called us for this task and you the church(Winstanley) have ordained us for that task. Every one of us has burdens, and we all fall short in God’s eyes but we can love and pray for each other. God expects that from us. Pray for the deacons that we may do God’s will and also be a good servant to you. Kay and I found a church home when we visited Winstanley and met the friendly, kind, warm and loving people here. I am honored and thankful and with God’s help, hope to be a helpful servant to all of you. Every time I open my Bible I am reminded that it was a gift and present to me on my ordination September 18, 1988. May God bless and keep all of you in his loving hands.
