My family enjoyed a wonderful weekend getting to know you, worshipping with you, and becoming a part of Winstanley. We greatly appreciate the warm welcome we received, along with the many words of encouragement and support. For me, one of the highlights of the weekend was hearing the stories of longtime members of the church. We were surrounded by many who have dedicated much of their lives to a single body of believers, which speaks of the faithfulness of Winstanley…

Dear Winstanley Family, As many of you know, I have accepted a youth ministry job at a church in St. Louis, and August is my last month serving with you. Darin and I have been grateful and thankful to have been a part of such a warm and welcoming family over these last two years. You all went above and beyond when we experienced our apartment fire, caring for us in ways we could not have imagined. For that, and…

Our summer is now in full swing! We have already had Lunch Bunch, Service days, Wednesday night and Sunday morning Bible studies, our first Friday Night Live; and now we are turning our focus toward camp! While these other activities will continue throughout July, we ask that you begin to partner with us in prayer for all those going to camp July 17-21. Please be in prayer for not only our students and adults, but also the other churches and…

With the summer quickly approaching, the student ministry is looking forward to an exciting time of learning and fun! We have a range of activities planned from camp to Bible studies to service days to Raging Rivers, the Muny, Friday Night Live, movie nights, and more! The summer is quickly approaching, and we have many things to look forward to! Graduation is just around the corner for our seniors. It is a time of great celebration but also of reflection and potentially a cause for grieving. While I know our seniors are excited to take the next steps in their journey. It can also be very scary. They are moving from their many comforts of high school and transitioning into college, vocational training, and even the…

Last month our student ministry was involved in Disciple-NOW with First Baptist Church Fairview Heights. This was a great weekend filled with meaningful worship, fellowship, service work, and fun. During our service time, we went to the Fairview Heights Food Pantry. This was helpful because it allowed our students to see the process for receiving food from the pantry. It also offered them an understanding of what it takes to maintain this kind of operation. Everything the food pantry does…

Youth Group With all of the crazy weather we’ve had lately, I find myself relating that to our spiritual journey.  Whether we are children, teenagers, or adults, we all go through seasons in our lives.   A wise person once told me that we are either in the midst of a storm, coming out of one, or getting ready for one.   Because we know that our spiritual journey is just that—a process, we will go through this cycle many…

DNOW DNOW is upon us once again. We are excited for a weekend to worship, Bible Study, and fellowship. The theme for this year is “Renew,” and the scripture verse the weekend is based on is Mark 12:30 —“…you shall love the Lord your God with all you heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” We ask for your prayers leading up to and during the weekend. This is, ar-guably, the most…

Christmas Bells  “I heard the bells on Christmas Day Their old familiar carols play, And wild and sweet The words repeat Of peace on earth, good-will to men! And thought how, as the day had come, The belfries of all Christendom Had rolled along The unbroken song Of peace on earth, good-will to men! Till, ringing, singing on its way, The world revolved from night to day, A voice, a chime A chant sublime Of peace on earth, good-will to…
